Fix 1 – Update Google Maps

Outdated Google Maps could be the main reason for this error. You might be using older version. This way, you should uninstall the old Google Maps app and install the latest version. Now open the app to see if the problem is resolved.

Fix 2 – Restart Your Device

So your Google Maps has stopped working. First of all, you need to reboot your device. It is one of the easiest and most effective processes to resolve the error “Google Maps Stopped Working”. Before you try other tricks, restart your phone first.

Fix 3 – Clear Google Map Data and Cache

This is the first step we would recommend to try. Google is used to save some data and access your saved info. Sometimes it causes trouble with existing data and displays this error. Make sure to have enough battery before running Maps.

Even if your battery status is around 50%, plug it into the charger and try to use the app. Check if there are still errors.
