Why is My Xiaomi Redmi Note 4 Not Charging? Here To Fix it!

Both Redmi Note 4 and Redmi Note 3 are the most popular and bestselling models of Xiaomi in mid-range segment. Xiaomi Redmi Note 3 was announced last year and it brought upgraded version Note 4 this year. But both of these devices have charging issues which may cause trouble for the user.

Method 1 – Reset Your Device

It is probably one of the easiest ways to fix charging problems on your Xiaomi device. You just need to reset your device to factory settings.

Along with fixing charging issues, you can also resolve other problems like Wi-Fi connectivity errors, lagging, and heating etc. with factory reset.

To perform factory reset in your Redmi Note 3 or Note 4, just turn off your handset and go to Mi Recovery. Press and hold Volume Up button with Power buttons at the same time. It will display the main menu.

Now choose Wipe & Reset > Wipe all Data and “Confirm”. This is all you need to do. Now you have restored your device to factory settings successfully. You may want to hard reset your Note 4 if it is not working.

Method 3 – Using Mi PC Suite

Mi PC Suite is the official desktop client for your Mi Device. With this software, you can manage your videos and photos, access Contacts and Messages, perform backups and other operations. Along with it, the software can also install latest MIUI ROM software on your Xiaomi device.

Finally, Xiaomi has launched a new update of Mi PC Suite (English). The whole new Mi PC suite comes with bug fixes on the older version. A lot of MIUI users were having trouble connecting to device. With latest update, the bugs have been fixed completely. After installing it, the Mi PC Suite can easily connect to all Mi devices.

All you need to boot it in Fastboot mode and connect the same to the computer through USB cable. Click “Update” on your Mi PC Suite. Latest ROM version comes with bug fixes to its last version. Hopefully, your charging problem will be fixed.

You will soon get an update notification at the bottom of the program. You can directly update it from PC Suite. Once the update rolls on, you will get an up arrow in blue at the bottom. All you need to click on it to restart Mi Phone manager. Once it restarts, it will detect your phone.

Method 4 – Flash Custom ROM/Chinese ROM/International ROM

If you have installed battery saving apps and performed factory reset and all things didn’t work, it’s time to flash International Chinese MIUI ROM or Custom ROM on your device to fix charging issue on your Mi device. Custom ROM has a lot of exciting features when compared to stock firmware.

Method 5 – Locate the Nearest Xiaomi Service Center
